Skylark Car Show

The Skylark sponsored 2009 MDA “Road to the Cure’ Car Show was a big success and raised nearly $8,000 for Jerry’s Kids. Attendance was fantastic and exceeded last year’s show by more than a thousand visitors.   About 80 cars (antiques to off-road to racers) filled the Ashley Home Store parking lot. It was a blast……. Next year will be even bigger……….

The Jolly Jitney

(August 15, 2009)  Rumor has it that Skylark is planning a joint venture with inTrans to provide a jitney service between Wichita Falls, Texas and Jolly, Texas.  The service is in response to Greyhound’s planned terminal move.  Grehound announced last week that it will move its Wichita Falls terminal to a truck stop 12 miles south of the city.

Skylark operates the largest taxi service in north Texas and serves all of Wichita Falls and Sheppard Air Force Base.

Skylark Hosts Wichita Falls MDA Car Show

Skylark Taxi and Airport Express announced today that the company will again serve as the presenting sponsor for the Wichita Falls, Texas 2009 MDA Car Show and Cruise.

“Even though we are all going through difficult economic times, we feel that it is more important than ever to step up and support Jerry’s Kids,” stated Skylark Sr. Vice President, Candice Darnell. “This car show and cruise, held in conjunction with our local broadcast of the MDA Labor Day Telethon, is one of the largest and best attended car shows in north Texas,” she added.
